Creative Cuticles Nail Polish - Fluorite and Nebula (Swatches and Reviews)

I got a surprise swatch package from, the ever so sweet, Kayla of Creative Cuticles Nail Polish the other day! Such a wonderful way to start the day!

A little about Creative Cuticles Nail Polish..... You may or may not already know Kayla, as she is the beautiful nails behind @kaylascreativecuticles on instagram. She loves indies so much, that she began her own journey as a trusted brand a few months back with her War Among the Stars collection. All of her polishes are cruelty and 5-free!

I have 2 of her new colors that will be releasing today, Friday, June 13th!

_________________________________________________________________________________
First up is Fluorite! A beautiful glitter topper filled with small teal, lavender and gunmetal holo hex glitters in a clear jelly base. So so pretty and super sparkly. I love this combo of colors together and it really is reminiscent of actual fluorite! (I googled fluorite for my own comparison. .lol)

First I layered it over Vapid Lacquer's Optimist white creme polish and loved it! I try to use different base with glitter toppers, but something about white is just so fresh and clean. My index and middle finder are one slightly dabbed on coat, the middle nail was also dabbed on in between the black acrylic paint lines. And finally the pinky is all acrylic paint. Studs are from Winstonia!

Next I wanted to layer it over a more earthy tone, so I chose Essie's Fierce, No Fear. I think it is so pretty over browns! It makes those glitters shine!

Lastly I layered it over something bright and fun! Blue Bombshell by Maybelline Color Show with some neon purple studs from Charmingly Simple Nail Art. Loved the way this base made the lavender glitters pop!

Next is Nebula! A gorgeous dark gray, holo jelly polish filled with small holo lavender & holo silver hex glitters. Again the colors go really well with actual nebula pictures. I feared the gray jelly would take away from whatever color base I chose, but I think I was wrong. It really just transforms the base into something new!

First I applied it alone on my middle and ring fingers using 3 coats, plus topcoat. On the index and pinky, I used it as an accent for some abstracty flowers. (I can't remember who did these flowers first, so I won't be crediting anyone)

3 layers alone plus topcoat

For this next mani, I layered Nebula over Vapid Lacquer's Pessimist black creme polish on the index and pinky, and as an accent over Elysian Nail Lacquer's Pretty Soul with some black square studs from Winstonia.

Both of these polishes have a great formulas and the dark gray color in Nebula just gets deeper with each additional layer. I did have to dab a tad to get the glitters where I wanted for both polishes, but that's never really a downside for toppers and is pretty typical. I also love how the toppers look so different over various bases!

You can browse Kayla's shop here and be sure to follow her on instagram to see what she comes up with next!

Thanks for reading! ♡
