Vapid Lacquer - Pessimist and Optimist (Swatches and Review)

As many of you know, in doing nailart, it is sometimes hard to find that one base coat that has a great formula. I personally have had a very difficult time finding a white creme that didn't take a billion coats, wasn't streaky and didnt look thick when I was done. I think Vapid Lacquer has answered my prayers. Krys has had these for awhile and I don't know why I never got them before?!

Today I am going to tell you a little about two of her creme polishes, Optimist and Pessimist

________________________________________________________________________________

First is Pessimist! A super opaque black creme, so beautiful on it's own and the perfect base for some nail art! If you've been painting your nails for any length of time, you should have no problem applying this as a ONE COATER! It really has a superior formula that was so easy to apply. It's also such an opaque black that in direct sunlight you can almost see a hint of the darkest navy blue possible...if that makes sense, haah!

I applied only 1 careful coat plus topcoat for my pictures. In the last pic, I used neon acrylic paints, as well as some cute little neon studs I got from Charmingly Simple Nail Art.

This is Optimist! Another extremely opaque creme with a great formula! This took only 2 coats to become opaque, which in my opinion is pretty damn good; I don't think I have ever heard of a one coater white creme before, so 2 coats is definitely awesome! With all of the white polishes I've tried, this one was also streaky on the first coat, but only took 1 additional coat to smooth out. What I really liked was that, after all was said and done between 2 coats, nailart and topcoat, it still didn't look thick!

Again, I applied 2 coats plus topcoat (glossy for the regular swatch and Vapid Lacquer's You're So Dull matte topcoat over the nail art)

Here I used both polishes; one as the base and the other for the lines. This took me for-freaking-ever! Not because of anything wrong with the polish, just because the majority of my nailart is done with acrylic paint, not polish...lol! However; if you generally use only polish, these would be awesome because they are so opaque.

Great cremes! Great formula! and Great application! Krys has definitely been added to my creme polish list!
