China Glaze - Fall 2015 Collection "The Great Outdoors" (swatches and review)

**press sample**
Hi guys! With the car accident and all, I am a little late on this post. I've seen gorgeous swatches all over the Internet, but wanted to share my swatches and thoughts on each polish in the China Glaze Fall 2015 Collection "The Great Outdoors" with you all as well!

China Glaze

S'More Fun is a cool lime green creme polish! For being this shade, it had a surprisingly good formula! A tad on the thin side, but was still opaque for me in two coats! I'm not sure I would consider this a Fall color, but it is still a fun one and a nice break from the darker shades!

Free Bear Hugs is a deep, almost oxblood red creme. I don't think it is so dark that it could be mistaken for black, but it is a very deep tone and happens to be one of my fav colors of life! Another great formula needing two coats plus topcoat! I also want to note that while this did not stain my nails, it did stain my cuticles a bit when I removed it.

Take a Hike is a gorgeous forest green creme! So pretty! Green polish has really grown on me over the past year and I really love the sort of dusty tone this one has! Again I did two coats, plus topcoat!

Let's Dew It is a really pretty glitter topper in a clear base that is filled with blue to purple duochrome glitters, as well as some silver holo glitters! For my photos, I did one coat over Change Your Altitude. This also looks amazing over darker bases!

Change Your Altitude is an amazing gray creme with maybe a hint of taupe? I don't know for sure, but I know I freaking love it! Of all the colors in the world, nude polishes are my absolute fav! This one has a thinner formula, so you'll want to be careful with flooding your nail as the polish runs down the stem a bit, but here I did two coats plus topcoat!

Cabin Fever is a beautiful pink to copper to gold multichrome polish! This one was very sheer on the first coat, but it built up really nicely! I did do three coats, but I think two was probably sufficient! A little brushstroke-y, so you'll want to try to paint straight lines.

Sleeping Under the Stars is an amazing deep blue creme filled with bright magenta shimmer! Such a pretty combo! Another thinner formula, but was very easy to apply and the shimmer translated to the nail really well! Here I did two coats plus topcoat!

Check Out the Silver Fox is your basic silver foil type polish. Nothing new or fancy about it really, but it is still a nice polish. The formula was really great, as I almost got away with one thicker coat.

Gone Glamping  is a gorgeous copper to gold to green multichrome! Another great formula needing just three very thin coats

My Lodge or Yours is another one of my favorites of the collection! I know, I'm a boring nude lover, but I just can't help it! This one is a mauve nude and has a great formula! Here I did two coats plus topcoat

Wood You Wanna is gorgeous! Sort of a brown, but bronze-y, yet a hint of pink and then red sparks.....uhhh metallic. Great description, huh? Anyway, it's really beautiful and has a fantastic formula. This baby is pretty much opaque in one coat, though adding a second deepened the color a bit.

Pondering is another really pretty duochrome! This one shifts from a gorgeous purple to a slightly teal toned green. For these photos I did three thin coats, but I think two was opaque enough.

I love this collection! I'm not super into duo or multichromes, but I was impressed with their coverage. Sheer on the first coats, but built up really well. My favs are obviously the nude creme shades, but I actually see myself using all of them throughout the season!

  1. Great post! I like the green but I'm afraid I've already got something in my collection like it. Did you find any dupes in yours? I'm also not a duo multi whatever chrome lover so I'm just kinda meh about those. The mauve is pretty though! Hugs, superninjaflyingmonkey
