Vapid Lacquer - Basics Collection (swatches and review)

**press sample**
Hi guys! Today I have an exciting post for you! Vapid is known for creating polishes that have amazing formulas; cremes included! Krys hasn't released too many cremes before, but guess what...she is starting a Basics Collection of gorgeous creme polishes that will be a part of her core line! To start out she's made seven cremes and will be adding to the collection from here on out!

Wanna see? Keep reading!

Netflix & Chill is a gorgeous sort of dark periwinkle blurple creme! (does that even make sense?) Amazing formula needing just two coats plus topcoat! My photo is a tad too blue, as this is a bit more purple in real life.

Puhcock is an absolutely beautiful deep teal creme that has an amazing formula! This one was opaque for me in just one coat; though depending on your application, you may need to add a second coat.

Snuggle Monster is a gorgeous sort of pinky strawberry toned creme. It's not quite what I'd call fuchsia, but not quite red either. (Are you loving my descriptions?!) Here, I again did one coat, but you may need two.

Wine O'Clock is a glorious deep cranberry creme! Another amazeball formula that is a true one coater!

Brown Chicken, Brown Cow is a beautiful chocolaty brown creme that is again......a one coater!

Rock the Boat is an amazing deep denim blue creme! Another awesome one coat plus topcoat! Even better, is this is NOT a stainer!

Feed Me Grapes is a beautiful medium purple creme with another great formula! Here I did two coats plus topcoat, but you may get away with just one!

Do they watermarble? YES! I am a true beginner watermarbler and I had no issues getting these to work for me!

Do they stamp? YES and NO. They dont show up very well over black and dark colors, but they show up great over white. As you can also see, they lose a bit of their vibrancy since scraping them across a stamping plate thins them out. These polishes, though very opaque, are not very thick, so they appear a bit faded when stamped. With that being said, they still stamp quite well for not being made for that specific reason.

Amazing! All of them were really pigmented, had fantastic formulas and dried really shiny on their own. Of course, if you want your polish to last, you still want to add topcoat to protect it.

The release of the Basics Collection, as well as the restock of several other Vapid polishes will be on January 29th at 7pm CST! Set you alarms! (I'll have the Valentine's Trio up in a day or two!)
