Hi guys! Today I have the Matte Effects Topcoats Collection from Bluebird Lacquer to share with you! Lou released a sneak peek of these in her Singles Awareness Day Sets in February and it has had me really excited for these! Let's take a look!
Dark Matter is a sneak peak at the upcoming "Matters" collection, which will be available at the end of the month! It will include a few core matte polishes that are great to be used as undies for nail art, toppers and watermarbling!
Dark Matter is a super opaque, one coater matte black creme! It had a fantastic formula that applied really smoothly with little to no brush strokes. The finish dries to a beautiful velvety matte effect.
The Matte Effects Topcoats are five toppers filled with Ultra Chrome Chameleon shifting flakies that completely transform any base color! I think they are gorgeous matte, but you can also top them with a glossy topcoat for a different effect.
For each of my photos below, I did one coat of the topper over Dark Matters.
Sweet Nothings is a clear matte base filled with coppery/ teal shifting microflakes and multicolored UCC shifting flakies!
Wink Wink is a clear matte base filled with a coppery/red/brown microflakies and multicolored UCC flakies. MY FAVORITE! Man, I love this one!
Dropping Hints is a clear matte base filled with blue to purple shifting microflakies and larger UCC flakies!
Nudge Nudge is a clear matte base filled with violet to gold shifting micro flakies.
Whisker Kisses is a clear matte base filled with blue to purple shifting micro flakes, as well as small multichrome flakes. This was included as a sneak peek in their Singles Awareness Day Sets this year!
I love these so much! Wink Wink is definitely my favorite, but they are all really beautiful! I'm excited to try these over different base colors too!

Those are all fabulous! I love a good matte and the shimmers and flakies make these extra special!
