Beautometry - Masura Magnetic Polishes + Magnet (swatches and review)

***press sample***
Hi guys! Today I have a couple of the new magnetic polishes from the Glare on the Water Collection by Masura that are available on the Beautometry website! I have used a lot of nail polish over the years, but I must confess that these are my very first magnetic polishes! I know, I know. Along with the new fancy toppers from Sinful Colors, magnetic polishes were on my list to try, so I am very excited to been able to check those off my list!

Emerald Cats is an emerald green base filled with a bit of turquoise and scattered holo, as well as gold magnetic shimmer. Here I did two coats plus topcoat. It dried a little dull on its own and was easy to remove.

Evening Before the Fireplace is a red toned brown filled with pink and gold shimmer, as well as bronze magnetic shimmer. Here I did three thin coats plus topcoat. It also dried slightly dull on its own and was easy to remove.

The Masura Magnet measures approximately 2.5 inches x 0.5 inches and just millimeters thick. It's small enough to be super easy to store, yet big enough to make some beautiful designs!

Since this is my first time using magnetic polish, it took me a little trial and error to figure out. For me, the best way was to apply one coat, use the magnet and then let it dry. Then I did my second/or final coat, added my quick dry topcoat, then used the magnet while it was still wet and held it in place until the topcoat was pretty much dry. Is this the correct way? I have no idea, but it worked for me. Haha! I'm excited to play with these more! I'm sure that once you get the hang of it, some really cool designs could be made!

Each polish in the Glare on the Water Collection retails for just $10 USD and is available on Beautometry's website now!

Thanks for reading!

  3. I got Veil of Night and I can not get it to work. This isn't my first magnetic polish so I know I am doing it right.
