Rise and Shine Cosmetics - March 2018 Polish Pickup 'I Broke My Duck'

**press sample**

Hi guys! Today I have another polish for March's Polish Pickup; a gorgeous addition from Rise and Shine Cosmetics to share with you!

The Polish Pickup is a Facebook group where makers create a polish/product based on a certain theme and all of the polishes are sold in the Polish Pickup store the beginning of the month. (the first Friday thru the following Monday). You can order as much or as little as you like and even place multiple orders, while still only paying $3 Flat Rate Shipping!

For March's the chosen theme is Books! Let's take a look at what they've created!

From the Maker:
Inspiration Poems of Provocation  This is a book of poems written by my grandfather, one of the most amazing men I have ever met.  This polish was inspired by one of my favorite poems, Ethel I broke my duck.  It tells the story of my grandfather as a toddler who broke his toy wooden duck.  As my great grandmother tried to fix the toy she injured herself.  As my great grandmother was passing out she told my granddad to run and tell the neighbor Ethel.  After some time my great grandmother awoke to find no help.  She walked over to Ethel's house (still bleeding) only to find my grandfather sitting on Ethel's lap.  My great grandmother asked why Ethel did not come, and Ethel responded that Bobby didn't tell her there was an injury, just that he had broke his duck.

I Broke My Duck is a red toned orange, almost coral crelly with a flash of red duochrome. It's filled with red, black and yellowy gold green flakies, with the most prominent being the yellow/gold. Here I did two coats plus topcoat. This dried fairly shiny on its own and was easy to remove.

I Broke My Duck will be available for $9.95 in the Polish Pickup shop March 2nd at 11am EST through
March 5th at 11:59pm EST.
