Hi guys! Today I have the China Glaze Seas and Greetings Collection for Holiday 2016 to share with you! Not your typical Winter shades in my neck of the woods, Colorado, but perfect for anyone who lives in a warmer climate this time of year or someone who loves more non-traditional colors!
Eat, Pink, Be Merry is light pink creme with pink shimmer. It's pretty sheer and streaky on the first coat, but completely opaque in three coats. Depending on application may only need two. It dries fairly shiny and is easy to remove.
Joy to the Waves is a medium blue with gold/green shimmer. It has sort of frosty appearance to it. Here I did two coats plus topcoat, but depending on application you may need a third. Due to the shimmer, you'll want to be mindful of brushstrokes, though most of them disappear as it dries.
Let's Shell-ebrate is a slightly pink toned jelly base filled with purple microglitters, gold flakes and gold shimmer. Here I did three coats plus two coats of topcoat. It's a little on the thicker side, but not horrible by any means. You could also try this as a topper over a base color. This will be difficult to remove.
Tis the Sea-Sun is bright orangey coral creme. This one has no shimmer in it. It's pretty opaque and covered completely in two coats plus topcoat.
Partridge in a Palm Tree is a sea foam colored creme base filled with silver shimmer. This does dry matte and quickly, so you'll need to be mindful of that or it may dry uneven if you manipulate it too much. Here I did two coats plus topcoat and it was easy to remove.
The More the Berrier is a fuchsia/cranberry foily metallic with pink shimmer. Super opaque formula that is opaque in just one coat plus topcoat! The shimmer can create brushstrokes, but most disappear as it dries.
Sand in My Mistletoes is a light nude creme. It covers pretty well on the first coat, but is a little streaky. I needed two coats plus topcoat, but depending on application you may need three. It dries shiny and is easy to remove
Snow Way is a very pale grey/blue with gorgeous copper shimmer. Very sheer but buildable formula.. It's a little on the thin side, so you'll want to be careful of flooding your cuticles. Here I did three coats plus topcoat. (This reminds me of a much paler version of the very popular Pearl Jammin from the Fall Collection.)
Seas and Greetings is a grape medium purple with pink shimmer. Again, this is sheer but buildable.; Here I did three coats plus topcoat. All of the brushstrokes disappear as it dries and it's easy to remove.
Good Tiide-ings is a beautiful periwinkle creme with no shimmer. Fantastic formula that is opaque in one coat plus topcoat!
Warm Wishes is a pretty corally pink creme with a subtle silver shimmer. It applied really even in one coat, but the second really deepened the color to match the bottle.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Starfish is a sea foam green shimmer with a gold flash. I chose to do three coats on its own, but you can also do one coat over a different base color!
My favs of the collection are Good Tide-ings and Snow Way! The Seas and Greeting Holiday 2016 Collection has six shades available at Sall Beauty stores and SallyBeauty.com - Tis the Sea-Sun, The More the Berrier, Seas and Greetings, Let's Shell-ebrate, Twinklw Twinkle Little Starfish and Joy to the Waves.
