Turtle Tootsie Polishes - The Cosmic Collection

**press sample**
A blog post?! What's this?!

Hi guys! I'm back from my summer hiatus. I took it off to spend extra time with my son and just live life. I signed him up for swim lessons for the majority of summer and then I had knee surgery mid July. Not fun! I have a rare thing called synovial osteochondromatosis. I'll spare you the details, but feel free to look it up if you'd like to know more. Hopefully I'll be walking normally again soon!

Now on to what you came for.......

Today I have some gorgeous polishes from Turtle Tootsie Polishes to share with you! Do you like magnetic polish? Do you like shimmer? Yes? Me too! Let's take a look!

My information for each of the magnetic polishes is pretty much the same, so I won't make you read the same thing  over and over again......

Foe each magnetic polish I took photos with and without the magnetic effect. I know a lot of people don't care for magnetic polishes, so I wanted them to see how pretty they were without it.

For each magnetic effect photo, I used the same amount of coats and took the exact same steps. I first do one coat and let it dry almost completely. For each additional coat I hold my magnet as close as I can for approximately 20 seconds; this includes after my topcoat. For all of the magnetic photos below I did three coats plus topcoat.

Dark Matter is a deep turquoise, shimmery base filled with magnetic chameleon pigment that shifts from blue to purple. The first photo is with magnetic effect as described above. The second photo shows two coats plus glossy topcoat. It applied smooth and evenly, but slightly dull, so the topcoat really brought out the shimmer. It was also easy to remove.

Super Nova is a deep plum/red base with magnetic red shimmer. This polish's magnetic effect is more subtle than the previous, but still very apparent as seen in the first photo. The second photo shows two coats plus topcoat. It applied smoothly and removed easily.

Aurora Borealis is a dark teal base magnetic polish with purple shimmer and purple/blue holo micro glitter. The magnetic effect is strong in this one and I love the color combo! For the second photo I again did two coats plus topcoat. There were no application issues and it removed easily.

Tidal Force is a blue base magnetic polish with purple shimmer and purple/blue holo micro glitter. I'd say this one has the least amount of magnetic effect, but again for my second photos I did two coats plus topcoat. The amount of glitter is so minimal that there were no issues with removal.

Super Moon is a purple shimmery polish loaded with purple/blue holo micro glitter. This is the only polish in the collection that is not magnetic. I say when you're this pretty already, there's no need to add any fancy effects though! Here I did two coats plus topcoat. It applied well and was easy to remove.

I love this collection! It's a perfect Fall/Winter type collection with it's jewel toned bases and the magnetic effects are beautiful! I didn't used to be a fan of magnetic polishes, so I really love that these types of polishes can be worn without the effect and don't generally cost any more than a normal polish anyway. My favorite of the collection is Aurora Borealis!
