Highlight Cosmetics - Broadway Red Liquid Lipstick + Nail Art (swatch and review)

**press sample**
Hi guys! I know, I know......really Jen, you're going to review lipstick? Yes, yes I am!

I generally use nail polish as a way to express myself. I may be a boring stay-at-home-mom, but when I wear a red and black mani, it makes me feel like a badass! I always assumed that it's the same for those that wear bold lip colors. I have always wanted to be able to pull of wearing a bright red lip, but felt like I was "too basic" for it. I often (and by often I mean always) wear yoga type pants, t-shirts, my hair in a messy bun and little to no makeup. Though all of these things rang true at the time I tried on this lipstick, I still felt like a badass....a slightly homeless looking badass, but a badass nonetheless! Haha!

What do ya think?

The lipstick packaging itself is really pretyy and feels high-end to me.

At first glance, it appears to look like your usual lipstick with the black part being the base.

It's trickery I tell ya! The black part is actually the cap with a doe foot applicator.

The color was super pigmented and had a very slight metallic sheen to it. It dried completely matte in just under a minute. This is one small swipe on the back of my hand.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

It lasted about 3 hours on me before it really started to look worn. It was a little drying, but that's often a side effect of a matte lip I suppose. The pigment was really great though; even after removing it, my lips were stained a slight pink color.

Overall I really loved it and would definitely look into purchasing other colors in the future!

Nail girls, this baby is almost an exact match for Zoya Hannah....my fav red mainstream polish!
